The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant number of SRD clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage produced for intervention experiences a high inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help SRD the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
